Fish route Bad Füssing

From the Kur- & Guest Service turn left over Safferstettener Straße, left onto Bachstraße, and down at the intersection opposite onto the foot and bike path towards the Inn. A small path leads up to the right to the Inn bridge, which leads to the neighboring country Austria. The Inn is the border river to Austria. On the Austrian side, you won’t find fish symbols, but we follow the signage of the bike path R3 (Inn cycle path) towards Schärding. We stay on this street for a bit and turn left after the gas station, uphill through the market town Obernberg with its magnificent old houses. After the second gate the route goes downhill, after the last farmstead on the left – before the next ascent – don’t miss crossing the street and turning left towards the Inn to Reichersberg. Then continue to Minaberg and Bründlkapelle, always along the riverbank to Schärding. A beautiful market with the famous “Silberzeile” – a baroque gem inviting you to take a break. Cross the Inn on the old Inn bridge, immediately after the bridge turn left – from here you will again find the fish symbol – on the Bavarian side it goes back. After the wooden Rott bridge turn left, the path leads through floodplain areas to the Inn shore and up to the Inn dam (river kilometer 19.0). Follow this back to the Inn bridge in Egglfing/Obernberg, turn right before it and return on the bike and foot path back to Bad Füssing.

It is recommended to carry an ID since you will be crossing the national border.
