The hike from Escheck to Katharinenhöhe and back is a comfortable, barrier-free route. The well-maintained path leads through a gentle forest landscape and is ideal for wheelchair users and families with pushchairs. Along the way, you can enjoy the tranquil natural surroundings and reach the Katharinenhöhe rehabilitation clinic, where you can take a break before returning to Escheck along the same relaxed route.
Note: As the Katharinenhöhe is a rehabilitation clinic for children and young people with cancer, it is not possible to stop for refreshments for health and hygiene reasons.
From the car park, follow the road past the former Gasthof zum Kreuz and continue along the blue diamond sign to Katharinenhöhe. There you have the option of walking a little further through the forest until the trail goes downhill again. Here, or at the Katharinenhöhe, you turn around and return to the car park.
