Hiking for families: Fairy tale treasure hunt in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach

The starting point for the fairy tale treasure hunt is at the Weiherplatz hiking car park in the Bad Griesbach district. Here you go right at the information board a few meters downhill. At the bottom, you cross the small bridge and then turn left onto the forest path. Now follow the stream for quite a while until the path crosses the stream again on the left-hand side.

Now go a little uphill until you reach the gravel road you drove to Weiherplatz on. Cross it and then immediately go up a narrow forest path again. Walk through the small woodland until you arrive at the car park of the Höhengasthaus Herbstwasen. Here the fairy tale treasure hunt ends.

Return route: You can return the same way or follow the gravel road back to Weiherplatz after the narrow forest path.

Via Federal Road 28, both the Rhine Valley motorway (A5) and the Lake Constance motorway (A81) can be reached quickly.

How to reach the premium circular hiking trail "Wiesensteig" in Bad Peterstal-Griesbach:

Motorway A5, exit Appenweier, B28 via Oberkirch and Oppenau to Bad Peterstal-Griesbach, at the end of Bad Griesbach, turn left into Wilde Rench between Hotel "Adlerbad" and Hotel "Kimmig", straight ahead about 3 km towards Gasthaus Herbstwasen, turn left at Herbstwasen junction Motorway A81, exit Horb, B28 via Freudenstadt to Bad Peterstal-Griesbach, at the beginning of Bad Griesbach, turn right into Wilde Rench between Hotel "Adlerbad" and Hotel "Kimmig", straight ahead about 3 km towards Gasthaus Herbstwasen, turn left at Herbstwasen junction

From Offenburg (ICE and IC stop) or Appenweier, you can reach Bad Peterstal-Griesbach in the Black Forest with the Ortenau-S-Bahn.

On arrival by train, a walk of about 60 minutes is necessary.
