The Sensitive Natural Area of Crêts d'Arjoux
At an altitude of 815 m, Mount Arjoux is the summit of the Sensitive Natural Area, covering 1,800 hectares. Ponds and wet meadows, much appreciated by amphibians, are common here. Some species of toads prefer life in forests; be careful not to crush them on the trails. Along the circuit, between “Bas d’Arjoux” and “Bombeynon”, the view of the hills, the wooded plateaus and the forests is typical of the area.
