• Wednesdays in July/August, during the “Beaujolez-vous!” evenings. In Chiroubles, a Beaujolais atmosphere is guaranteed under the stars with barbecues, concerts, and fireworks.

History and culture
It took nearly a decade of analysis to decipher the specific characteristics of the Beaujolais vineyard, which led to a revelation... It is rooted in more than 300 different types of soil, an invaluable geological treasure for producing wines with varied aromas in a small area.
This discovery, which led to the award of UNESCO Geopark status, contributes to the diversity of flavors in the wines produced. Through observation, knowledge sharing, expertise, passion, and ingenuity, the winemakers have enriched their cellars with refined vintages, as well as noble cuvées from small plots. Bathed in sunshine, the vines also flourish under the influence of continental, oceanic, and Mediterranean climates. The wines are mainly fruity reds made from the Gamay grape variety, which is exclusive to the region. Much less common, Chardonnay is the white grape variety of Beaujolais. Rosé wines are also part of the range. Saint-Amour, Juliénas, Chénas, Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, Chiroubles, Morgon, Régnié, Côte-de-Brouilly, Brouilly, Beaujolais, and Beaujolais Villages are the 12 AOCs of Beaujolais.
