The varied hike (4.1 km / approx. 1 hour) leads through the gentle landscape of Teufenthal. Along the way, cozy benches with panels invite you to linger – there, the legend of Liebegg Castle and Trostburg unfolds in seven episodes.
For children, there is a special highlight along the route: seven ball tracks built by Teufenthal's local businesses. Balls can be purchased from the vending machine at the municipal building for 2 francs. This makes the hike a little adventure for the whole family.
The path is easy to walk, ideal for families, and perfect for a short trip into nature with exciting entertainment and exercise.
The circular trail starts in the village of Teufenthal at 450 m above sea level and leads up to Hochrüti. From there, it continues over Dreiangel and Cholholz to Breiti at 564 m above sea level. At the top, a wonderful view opens up: the Alps can be seen to the south, and the Jura ridge to the north.
Then the path goes down through the Tannholz. At Chilchweg, an idyllic barbecue area with a fountain and the babbling Mülibach invites you to take a cozy break. After that, the route runs along the edge of the forest towards the depot/cemetery, where the last bench of the trail is located.
The last 500 meters lead back through the village of Teufenthal to the starting point at the village square.
