Follow the signposting on the posts with the "Salt Route" logo in the colour pink.

Suitable walking shoes are highly recommended

Please bring water, a cap, provisions, waterproof and warm clothing

A torch or headlamp in case of passing through a tunnel or to avoid being surprised by nightfall

A first-aid kit

Before you leave:

Find out about the local weather before you go

Inform someone close to you of your walking goal and departure time

Check that the length, gradient of the route and the time it takes to complete it match your level of ability before you set off and don't overestimate your abilities

During your ride:

Bring the marked paths and respect the direction of the routes

The paths are shared: mountain bikers, horse riders and hunters may use your route

You may encounter flocks of sheep grazing. Protection dogs are there to protect them from any aggression. The golden rule: stop and keep your distance from the flock. Take the time to walk calmly around them.

Double your attention during hunting season and find out about ongoing hunts.

Have an eco-citizen behaviour: take back your waste, be discreet not to scare wild animals and do not pick wildflowers or plants, a photo is a sufficient souvenir

Respect private properties, cultivated areas and natural spaces and close the gates after your passage

In summer the days are hot, and the vegetation is very sensitive to the risk of fire, do not light fires, you are endangering your safety and that of others
