This cycle route takes you along the legendary roads of Saint James of Compostela between Crozant and Châtelus le Marcheix.
The route starts in the painters’ valley at Crozant, revealing a medieval fortress at the confluence of the Creuse and the Sédelle rivers; then passing through St Germain Beaupré, it heads to La Souterraine, a medieval town where the Saint James shells mark your path towards the Porte St Jean and the Notre Dame Church.
The next part of the bike route follows the Gartempe Valley and will lead you to Bénévent-l’Abbaye where you can admire the abbey church built in the 12th century. Finally, the route plunges into the Thaurion Valley...
