Mountain inn Sattelbauer in Flachau (11)

We start at the tourism office in Kleinarl or Wagrain.

Starting from Kleinarl, you first ride along Kleinarler Strasse and via Hofmark to Wagrain. Once you reach Wagrain-Markt, turn at the intersection to B163 towards Flachau and pass through the districts Schwaighof and Moadörfl. At the town limit, at the height of the Wagrain sign, the cycle path towards Flachau begins.

At the first roundabout go straight across until you shortly reach a second roundabout. Take the first exit here and ride towards Flachau town center. Opposite the restaurant "Hoagascht," cross the small bridge with wooden railing and continue along Wechselgasse, passing the Sunside apartment on the left uphill, then turn left at the next intersection. At the next intersection, turn right and keep riding uphill following the signs to mountain inn Sattelbauer.

You will have reached the idyllically located mountain inn with a place to stop, friendly staff, and very good cuisine.

For the return trip, take the same route. Those with good riding skills and a well-equipped e-bike can also descend to the valley via the short but super cool trail.

Enjoy one of the Sattelbauer delicacies on the cozy sun terrace in a pleasant atmosphere.

As a nice bike & hike route, the ascent with the e-bike to the mountain inn Sattelbauer can also be combined with a hike to the Lackenkogel, where you will be rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view over the valley. - Don't forget to take enough to drink!
