Holiday in Salzburg´s village
Russbach is located right in the Dachstein West ski and hiking area in the Province of Salzburg's mountains. The colorful planted village square with the snail stone fountain, the well-kept homes with blooming flowers on the wooden balcony, great restaurants and family-run hotels and apartments delight every visitor from the start.
The hiking village Russbach Dachstein West
So skilfully that you hardly even notice it, Russbach brings together the advantages of a traditional mountain holiday, including family hikes and activities, and the wish for fun in the water during hot summer temperatures. This is taken care of, not only by the village's Hornbahn cable car, which comfortably carries you up to the mountain pastures, but also the Russbacher waterpark, where you will find fun and relaxation, a swimming pond, a canoe trail and a play stream.
The cozy and rustic huts on the mountain pastures invite you to linger. Enjoy a hearty alpine snack with all sorts of homemade treats, like bacon, freshly baked bread or the Tennengau alpcheese specialties.
Winter fun at the Dachstein West ski area
Family skiing and fun on the pistes with a natural backdrop that is beyond compare – probably best describes ski fun in our region. The Dachstein West ski region with 142 km of perfectly prepared pistes between Gosau and Annaberg is one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Northern Alps.
Anyone who is too small to go skiing or who just doesn´t fancy it, can head to the Spatzennest: free supervision frem specialist staff is available directly at the Hornbahn Valley Station for children from the age of 1 who are visiting Russbach.
