Contest vibes, creative tricks & airtime – that was the Junior Jam Ehrwalder Alm! Why “Junior Jam”? Because this tour stop was exclusively open for riders under 18. During this contest, the Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm became a stage for all the tricks of tomorrow’s freestyle pros!

Last Sunday, February 16th, 2020, many rookies found their way to the Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm to show their skills during the Junior Jam Ehrwalder Alm. QParks Tour Stops like the Junior Jam give rookies the opportunity to gain their first contest experiences and show what’s to expect from the next generation in freestyle : A high level, that’s for sure – the contestants in this weekend’s Junior Jam proved it!
The contestants at the Junior Jam Ehrwalder Alm: Motivated rookies, freeskiers and snowboarders alike. The stage for their tricks: The Medium Line of Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm, featuring two kickers with 6 and 8 meters. The results: Creative tricks and airtime!

Rankings & best tricks

Speaking of airtime: Leo Buchholz showed the best trick of the day among the freeskiers – a Cork 7 Tail. In the rookie men category, Luis Ernhofer won the first place, Leo Buchholz came in second and the third place went to Laurin Kristler. In the groms category André Wieser scored the first place, followed by Raphael Erhart in second and Alexander Wolf in third place.
Sarah Schönach won the contest in the freeski rookie women category, Emma Spiss scored second place and Silje Kinkead the third place.
Darcey Jane Williams took first place among the snowboarders in the rookie women category and shared the podium with Kiara Zung, who came second and Amber Fennell in third place. In the groms category, Karolina Stroh took the third place, while Amber Fennell won the second place and Darcey Jane Williams came in first.
Another winner of the contest day: Leopold Frey, who won the category rookie men among the snowboarders followed by Alois Durand in second and Niclas Bothe in third place. The first place in the grom category went to Lukas Behensky, Sergii Sanzhapov scored second place and Lenny Fenning took the third place on the podium. And the best trick among the snowboarders? A massive switch backside 900 sent by Ethan Smith.
