Snowpark Schöneben – New Season, New Area, New Events

The upcoming season 2016/17 offers a crucial innovation for all the visitors of the ski resort Schöneben. With this year’s ski pass you’ll be able to access not one or two but five ski resorts in total! This means you have the chance to explore the entire “Skiarena Vinschgau” as well as the perfectly groomed slopes of Schöneben. Displayed in numbers, you’ll be entitled to ride almost 40 kilometers of prime slopes in Schöneben plus 100 extra kilometers of the finest slopes in the neighboring resorts. This newly established cluster of ski resorts includes Haider Alm, Watles, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler and of course Schöneben. The park shredders among you probably won’t have any difficulties making their choice, though - Once again, we’ll do our best to offer you the sweetest park with plenty of creative obstacles, shaped by our highly motivated professional shape crew!
After a successful day at the park you’ll have the possibility to get comfy in the Igloo-Bar Piz with a hot drink and get ready for your next runs in the park. What’s more, you can also chill out in the sauna of the indoor pool Graun.

NEW SET-UP
This season our snowpark will be packed with a total of 55 obstacles. Among the newbies you’ll find 4 new jibs of which two are rails and two are hits in the medium and the beginner area. Additionally the crew came up with a special treat for the creative riders: The new creative area, consisting of 8 different obstacles, invites you to let your imagination go wild. It will feature various cool elements such as a volcano and a hover tube or a lollipop among others. Apart from that we will set up countless kickers with table lengths from 2m to 15m, as well as rails and boxes in all kinds of shapes.

NEW EVENTS
Like in the previous years the “Battle ROJal” will take place in the Snowpark Schöneben once again as part of the QParks Tour. The rookie-tour with pro-flair is a great possibility, especially for the young guns, to show their skills in a professional event and breathe “contest air” for the first time. With the “Shred Poker” we will be holding a totally new event in Schöneben this year. The Shred Poker is all about what makes a park session unforgettable: One selected feature to shred, fine tunes and a free barbecue! Whoever manages to convince the crowd with tricks and progression, will cash in not only cheering and respect but also the highly wanted poker chips, which can be traded for prize money and goodies after the session.
Besides, we’ll offer you an exclusive view behind the scenes of Snowpark Schöneben. Throughout this season we will produce the video report “Shaper’s Life” which will give you an insight into the daily work and life of our hard working shapers, without whom the snowpark simply wouldn’t exist.

NEW DESIGN, MORE FEATURES
We’ve played around with a few different designs and finally our homepage shines with new luster! Apart from the fresh new look, there’s also various new features such as a Rider Corner, where you can upload your season’s edits and best shots straight out of the park onto the website. Catch up with the Schöneben park community and make new shred-buddies.
Additionally the Snowpark Schöneben mobile app will undergo an update which will equip it with new functions as well. One of these is the Tell-a-Shaper-Feature: drop our shape crew a line and let them know about your wishes, suggestions or compliments.
